OOC: Influence Spending
Ranks in a Primarchs influence attributes have 2 purposes. The first is a general indication of how much influence the Primarch has managed to gain within that faction. The Second is an income of influence currency you can use to perform additional actions or enhance actions. The available actions are listed under each Currency. The list may expand during play.
Influence Currencies
There are 3 Influence Currencies each related to it's related attribute. At the end of each turn you earn your Ranks in that Currency.
There is a Cap on each currency to dissuade hoarding. This is linked to your Fleet Capacity.
- 1 Fleet means a cap of 20.
- 2 Fleets means a a cap of 30.
- 3 Fleets means a cap of 40.
Currency is reduced to the Cap at the beginning of a turn, so you can go over the cap and then spend below it before it the Cap comes into effect.
Currency can be spent when submitting orders, stating how much you are spending and on what. Spending per turn is not limited. Actions from Spending influence do not count as one of your 2 Orders per Turn.
Boons
Boons are the currency acquired by Lords of Terra Influence. Representing your Primarchs favours with the various bureaucracies of Terra and access to the considerable resource of Rogue Trader Charters. Boons are spent to requisition Rogue Trader Reports or to manipulate Imperial Bureaucracy.
5 Boons: Son of the Emperor
Gain a Statesmen roll bonus to improve Lords of Terra influence.
5 Boons: Rogue Trader Scout
A Rogue Trader Vessel will scout a Location for your Legion as a Free action.
5 Boons: Rogue Trader Exploration
Rogue Traders will explore a specified sector and return with a Location of interest.
Commissions
Commissions are acquired from Imperial Army Influence. This represents your Primarchs loyalties over the Armies and Navies of the Imperium. Spending Commissions represents calling up certain loyal Regiments or Commanders to assist your Legion in certain situations.
5 Commissions: Great Crusade
Gain a Statesmen roll bonus to improve Imperial Army Influence.
5 Commissions: Heavy Ordnance
The Imperial Army will use it's considerable firepower to reduce the effectiveness of Any Fortifications you are Assaulting.
10 Commissions: Imperial Army Assistance
A considerable force of the Imperial Army will assist your Next Assault, adding a Bonus to Either Aggression or Mitigation.
Archeotech
Archeotech is the rare and sophisticated Dark Age Technology you can acquire from trading with the Mechanicum. Spending this equates to using advanced Fabrication methods and Cogitators to purchasing the Loyalty of the Forge World Legions.
5 Archeotech: Son of the Omnisiah
Gain a Statesmen roll bonus to improve Mechanicus Influence.
5 Archeotech: Mechanicus Forges
This utilizes the forges of the mechanicum to improve your Supply Rate. This will affect normal Supply Rates and Muster Rates.
10 Archeotech: Titan Legion support
Command the Loyalty of a Titan Legion for an Assault, this provides a Bonus to your Legion Strength.
