Biography

Arrival

The pod carrying Aristarchus crashed into the primary hive on Gidemos causing an almighty inferno in the last paper-based library on the planet. The internal guard rushed to the building alongside the emergency services fearing it to be an attack and were surprised to find a 9 foot obsidian black giant with glowing white eyes standing under the sprinklers with a single burning book in his right hand, of the other books which were in the library there was no sign. As the sprinklers died down the eyes on the giant lost their glow as they dulled to solid green with no visible pupil or iris and he turned to them and spoke “I have arrived, your guardianship has been exceptional, but I shall now shoulder the bulk of this burden. In preparation of reunification.”

Rise to Power

The people of Gidemos had retained the knowledge of Terra amongst the rest of the knowledge they had retained so there were great celebrations when it was made known that someone from Terra had arrived as they assumed that mankind would be reunited shortly. They feted Aristarchus as the bringer of a new dawn and as the years passed some started to worship him as a divine messenger, during this time as well more psykers started to appear amongst the population of Gidemos which was also taken as a sign that reunification was close. This worship sat ill with Aristarchus and he called all those who thought he was divine to a grand meeting at the central plaza in the primary hive. The plaza was filled to capacity with hundreds of thousands of people in there the decorative stones underfoot not visible under the mass of humanity including the leading council of the planet. A hush filled the plaza as Aristarchus took the stage dressed in a simple robe holding his burning book in his right hand, his green eyes looking over the assembled personages. “Those who have gathered here have come to hear my divine pronouncements, in that case I say this, you who have had the Knowledge for millennia hear my words, read our writings the writings of all humanity, study our sciences the sciences of all humanity, THERE ARE NO GODS. Go search for proof of divinity and if you find some I shall debate it with you or my sons shall.” The plaza was silent as the attendees tried to process what they had heard but their intellects started to come to the forefront and they headed to the libraries and worked on finding the proof of the divine until some started to question the last words of the pronouncement for there were no others like Aristarchus for he was unique.

Rediscovery

A year passed and Aristarchus called those who had thought him divine to the central plaza again. The crowd was not silent this time as he took the stage for he had been amongst them as they had studied, he had debated with them and proven his intellect in discussion and research so a wave of noise greeted him as they cheered him as an example of what humanity could be rather than an unreachable divine prospect. Aristarchus pointed up to the sky and spoke simply “My friends behold my sons!” At this point the first of the Bringer of the Storm ships came visible over head brining the Imperium to Gidemos.
