Sonara VI was one of the last planets to be settled prior to the Age of Strife and as such utilised technology towards the very peak of humanities achievements during the dark age of technology. Given the events of the Cybernetic Revolt, one would have assumed that given it's mighty height of advance, it's commensurate fall would have been all the worse, but that was not meant to be. When Sonara was rediscovered, the locals had a vastly superior form of technology than many other worlds within the Imperium. Exactly how the populace of Sonara avoided the repercussions of the Revolt without descending into technobarbarism or being destroyed by malevolent AI is unknown but cut off from the manufactories of Earth their development stagnated and they have developed a religious attachment to their technology. The difference in this case to that of the Mechanics is more a generalised concept of machinery as saviour rather than a conscious embodiment like the Omnissiah
