Leonida Templatz is a Nemean Commander of the [[Legion III: Star Lions]] legion.<br>

Commander Leonida stands aside from the regular Legion organisation as the head of the Manticore Terminators. Whilst the Manticores number several companies on paper they are dispersed amongst the other Battalions under their Captains and Lieutenants in support of the line troops. As their Commander she heads up the largest single formation of these elite shock troops and she is often used as the Primarch's enforcer and strong right hand.

Leonida is unnerving at best, even those unaware of her reputation are often visibly cowed and noone, not even her most trusted soldiers can bear to be around her for long. If this bothers her she doesn't show it, her leisure time is spent deep in research, human and xenos psychology, physiology and legend and she is one of the Imperium's foremost scholars on these subjects. She does this only to better know her enemies and how to break them.

A Commander once joked she might even make an Astartes quail. Nobody laughed.

Her modified Cataphracti plate cuts an imposing figure calculated to terrify like all Manticores. She habitually bears a large number of oath seals and purity markers, perhaps to ward of accusations of what some might call heresy for the screaming angels and burning religious iconography of her attire. Her favoured weapons are powerfists, the better to rend, tear and horrify.

Leonida is also unusually skilled at bonding with Nemean Lions and has an entire Pride of the beasts bonded with her at any given time. Given the intense nature of most Manticore assignments these beasts are also notably augmented. Teleportation seems to goad the already fearsome animals to new heights of ferocity much to the woe of the Manticore's targets.
