The Call To Terra

Post by The Emperor » Fri Apr 06, 2018 1:21 pm

**All Primarchs receive a personal summons from the Emperor to come to Terra, the purpose of which is not clear**

**The Primarchs arrive at the Imperial Palace roughly together, clearly the Emperors own hand guided the orchestration of Warp Paths and Communications that brought so many from so far across the Galaxy. **

**Brought together in the Imperial Tactica Supreme, the room seems purpose built to facilitate a meeting of minds and figures of such magnificent scale**

**The Emperor sits atop a large throne overlooking a large central plinth which houses a grand Holodisplay of the Galaxy. Primarchs are able to sit or stand at their leisure.**

**When all have gathered, the Emperor stands slowly. Clad in Golden armour as to magnify his authority he speaks with great confidence and purpose**

My Sons,

You have my thanks for indulging my request at this meeting. Your work in the Great Crusade is of great importance, but we have reached a crucial moment in the fate of Mankind.

For the First time, all my Sons have been brought together in one place. In the home of Mankind, at the Heart of the Imperium.

That such at thing was even possible is a proof at how far we have reclaimed since the long night.

Yet we stand on precipice. As we stretch out our arms to the Stars, we are encountering powerful and dangerous threats.

Threats to the Crusade, the Imperium, even to all Mankind.

As my sons you were created to Lead my Legions and crush these threats to our progress, but now greater cooperation is needed.

I cannot be everywhere at once, and many enemies may require the Strength of several Legions.

So I ask of you, for the sake of Humanity, redouble your efforts, build new powerful fleets, combine your forces, lend each other your strengths.

**The Emperor motions his hands and the Holodisplay shifts to reveal several High level threats to the imperium. Also the various Legions homeworlds are indicated, accompanying each the signifier for a substantial Imperial fleet presence.**

I shall remain here to answer any questions, but your goals should be clear. I shall leave it to you to discuss how best to provide us Victory.

**The Emperor slowly sits back down and watches the greatest military minds in the galaxy assimilate the information in front of them**

[OOC-
Hey guys, so this is the initial planning phase were the Primarchs get together and get to know each other a little better and work out where the want to deploy their forces.
The main threats currently are the Warzones, but there are other options as well which can be found on the map. Descriptions of the Warzones can be found in the Warzone section of the Forum.
Here you may wish to post a quick description of how your Primarch would look or act visiting Terra and what you think you would be good at...or even telling other people what they should be doing. If you are committed to a Warzone you can move the discussion to that Forum.
There are also several other significant threats highlighted around the Galaxy, these are viable options.
The Emperor is there as well, but is quite clear he wants the Primarchs to sort this mess out amongst yourselves.]

Father
From among the throng of young Demi-gods, Sorren the silent: Primach of the VIII steps forth. As the gathering parts for him we get our first look at the Primarch of the VIIIth. Among this august company he seems almost plain. He is not the the mightiest, nor the greatest in stature. His chiseled features are Classical but far from comely. they are to hard to cruel for that. Silver and Gold circuity trace his shaven head, weaving in complex patterns. Patterns that seam to move the more one looks at them. His Power Armour is gunmetal grey chased with Green and gold. Vast, bulky and of great artifice it remains free of ornamentation, Save for a grill in the shape of a pair of cupped hands covering his mouth and lower features.

He is preceded, nay ,surrounded by a swarm of whispering servo skulls that orbit him like a storm of pale moons. His brothers make room for him through the astute observers might note that they do not have to move far. The other Primarch give the Silent one a wide berth as the aura of Pshycic might emanating form Him makes it uncomfortable to stand to close.

The primarch faces his Father and makes thew sign of the Aquila. He then takes a knee. As he prostrates himself before the lord of mankind his mind rings out. His thoughts echo'd and relayed by the mechanical voices of the swarming servo skulls.

Father.... In your glorious name... I pledge the VIIIth to the pacification of the Osiris Cluster.... The Praxil Empire.... will be struck down... Thier armies Broken... their fleets burned... Thier worlds brought into compliance.... This to you i swear...

As the chorus of echos fades the Primarch rises and turns his eyes towards his brothers.

Once more his psychic voice rings out cold and true

And who amongst you ... my most beloved borthers... will join me in this endevour?

Johannes Gause emerges from the throng of Imperial functionaries and courtiers, towering over the merely human crowd he is instantly recognizable as a Primarch. Tall even for a son of the Emperor, he is garbed in a simple dark green monk's habit. As he approaches the Emperor's dais he draws back his hood to revel a gaunt and unsmiling visage. Upon reaching the foot he takes a knee.

"Father, it gives me great pleasure to return to your side once more, and to be in such august company of all my brothers is a wonder to behold."

Johannes rises and crosses to great Sorren the silent, they face each other in silence for a few moments before Johannes nods his head and turns back to the Emperor.

"I will take my Legion and aid Sorren in his pacification of the Osiris Cluster. Between us we will bring this errant splinter of humanity back into the fold. Though loss of life appears to be unavoidable, my sons and I will attempt to mitigate what damage we can, so that the might of what remains of the Praxil Empire might be added to our own."

With that he bows deeply to the Throne and makes way for the next supplicant.
Johannes Gause, Primarch of the Harbingers, VI Legionnes Astartes.
"We are the watchers in the dark, the sword in the darkness, the shield that guards the realms of men."

A normal human enters the throne room, dressed in a scarlet uniform and carrying a bottle.

"Sorry I'm late. Did I miss anything?"

Hargan Desh steps forward, his scarred face impassive. Clad in loose black trousers and heavy boots, wearing a heavy breastplate emblazoned with the skull sigil of his legion, he brushes several dignitaries to the side with his thickly muscled and scarred arms as he pushes through the crowd. He takes a moment to look around the room at those gathered, sizing them up with a glance, before speaking.

"I will take my Legion to the Ork held world of Rust. This lies close to my Legions homeworld in the and must be crushed before it becomes a serious threat to the segmentum. Once this threat is negated i will make speed for whichever warzone my brothers have yet to pacify, although the Talon Reach seems the perfect arena of battle for my sons."
Hargan Desh, Bladebreaker, Red Reaper, The Scarred. Primarch of the VII Legiones Astartes, The Deadwalkers

Linnaeus bows to his father and nods to those of his brethren not afflicted with the witch curse, for them perhaps a scowl for the most perverse but usually nothing at all, at least in the august presence of the Emperor. The quickest amongst you catch a flicker of Thoughtmark from his hands, or perhaps it is simply a twitch of tension? Regardless, the Sisters watching remain impassive as always behind their masks.

His retinue stands watchful, Lord Commanders at his side and the Black Lions always watchful at his back. Their namesakes, the Nemean lions wear ornamental muzzles and dampening harnesses, their null auras dimmed as a necessary compromise in such a gathering. They continue to stare at the Emperor though, clear malice and unusual intelligence in their cold feline eyes.

Linnaeus takes a moment to scan over the holodisplay, the swathes of territory brought to heel by the great crusade, the all to extensive realms yet to feel the wrath of the Legions, his unusually aged features seeming like the Emperors father instead of his son. As Hargan Desh finishes he nods and gestured a gold armoured hand towards the Shedim drifts, "Then i shall lead my legion and all who would stand with me to hunt the Eldar. We have battled many times and we know many of their tricks. Trust in us father, these witches will fall."

Saturnus looks at his siblings as they step forward in turn, he stands resplendent in a silver breastplate, etched with a million stars, his white surcoat similarly embroidered.

His council stand behind him, glittering in brilliantly polished silver. Their cyber eagles resolutely perched on the right shoulder and legion star, carved from platinum and inlaid with precious stones on their left.

The Primarch of the 2nd legion extends his broad, white wings partially, eclipsing his followers and catches his father's eye with a tilt of his head. "My legion will lead any charge, we will fall upon any foe."

He casts a hand towards the Segmentum Solar, his eyes glittering with the reflection "First things first, the heart of the Imperium must remain strong to ensure the future of mankind. Therefore we shall root out insurrection and dissent among our own then turn our gaze for those prize worlds, yet unconquered."

He closes his hand into a fist and smiles evenly, his perfect, angelic features satisfied. His followers knock on their carapaces once, in unison, as their genesire makes his pronouncement, their cyber eagles turn their heads in fresh excitement.

It seems the Eldar have spared no expense in fortifying their "Craft-world" and i am not too proud to admit my legion is not best suited to such hard targets head on. I would welcome the assistance of one of my brothers best suited to the grind of siege warfare. Rest assured i will spare no expense in your support!"

A dark figure stands, and through his face is shrouded behind a cowl, none can mistake the grim lord of the XIth Legion, Raguel, The Dark Judge.

"It is my duty, and the duty of my Legion to punish those who have transgressed against the Law and Will of the Imperium and our Father. Few commit greater crimes than those who reject the Supremacy of the Imperial Truth, and refuse the lawful dominion of the Imperium over all humanity. This so-called "Praxil Empire" has been so judged, and I swear in your name father, they will be punished for the crime of their own pride and ignorance.

I will commit my Legion to the Compliance of Praxil.

Send forth the heralds! Let this petty empire know, the Emperor's Judgement has come...."

The figure nods to Johannes and Saturnus, and indicates to a side area where a detailed holo-display of the Osiris Cluster has been brought up, fleet disposition reports already being to feed onto the cracking image.

Aristarchus stepped forward his loose fitting robes doing little to conceal the power and grace in his frame. His two escorts both marked as being from the same Magisses squad stayed at attention behind him. He dropped to one knee in front of the Emperor and withdrew a few steps before turning his Jade green eyes across his assembled brothers.

A wry smile creased his obsidian face “My legion would be perfect to push aside the Eldar xenos who dare step upon our galaxy which I am sure none here could or would deny.” With a slight inclination of his head towards Linnaeus “However some forces are … unsuitable for those of our ability to fight alongside in a way which bring the clean victory that your Imperium demands Father.”

“Given suitable leadership these threats could be dealt with easily by competent warriors so I shall demonstrate this. My legion shall march upon the Orks in the Talon Reach alongside The Deathwalkers and to reiterate my brother’s words we shall then march upon those warzones which have failed to be pacified.”
Primarch of the Lore Wardens, Guardian of the Knowledge, Wielder of the Burning Book.
"They actually thought that would work against us. Interesting."
